3 Bottles of 2018 Domaine Vetriccie Biancu Gentile
This comes from the island of Corsica, which is technically French. However, the Italian influence is unmistakeable. This lovely white wine is made from a local grape, Biancu Gentile, that has recently been revived. It has a bright lemon color. The nose reveals perfumes of macerated lemon. The palate is full and offers a good texture and citrus notes. The acidity and minerality blend perfectly.
3 Bottles of 2018 Cristom Estate Viognier
This stunning estate grown Viognier comes out of the Eola-Amity Hills appellation of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Cristom was among the first to plant this varietal in Oregon with their original estate plantings in 1993. It is 100% hand harvested and sorted. This wine exhibits the pure, nearly textbook characteristics of this varietal, with floral aromas of orange blossoms, honeysuckle, clover and anise, as well as ripe fruit aromas of peach, apricot, and lychee. Slightly viscous on the palate, with bright and mouth-watering acidity that support the fruit structure of the wine, it is well integrated and perfectly balanced.
3 Bottles of 2019 Les Hauts Plateaux Rose
This rose out of Provence is 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache, and 20% Cinsault. It is salmon in color and possesses great intensity on the nose with aromas of red berries and a scent of violets. While supple in texture, it is very easy to drink.
3 Bottles of Graham Beck Brut Rose NV
This non-vintage sparkler out of South Africa is elegant and structured. It is a bubbly for all seasons, but drinks wonderfully in warmer weather. The blend is 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay. This wine has a unique pale silver-pink hue with aromas of raspberries, cherries and a few secondary whiffs of minerality. It has a lively mousse, but fine in the mouth, with subtle red berry flavors enlivened by bright acidity. Brisk, yet delicate on the palate, it is bursting with flavors of freshly crushed berries and hints of oyster shell.
