We are excited to continue our tour of the world in 2021 with our next case for January, “Around the World”! We partnered with travel expert extraordinaire Niki Edwards aka @thetravelinghomebodyal this month! Niki is a local travel agent that can plan your trip for you! I decided it was time to plan our next trip, and I would let someone else do all the work! Entered, Niki. She has an amazing trip planned for us later in the year, and I cannot wait to collaborate on more trips in the future!
Our “Wino in Charge,” John Mark Davis, spoke with Niki and put together varieties from around the world that fit her flavor profile. Join us as we go to Italy, Argentina, Australia, and Spain!

3 Bottles of 2019 Abbazia di Novacella Pinot Grigio
Abbazia di Novacella was founded in 1142 by the monks of the Augustian Order of Canons Regular. This Pinot Grigio shows significantly more depth and complexity than you’d expect and was scored 92 points by Wine Enthusiast. Hints of wild herbs give way to ripe apple and apricot, offset by dusty dried flowers and lifting minerality. The interplay of acids and ripe fruit folds perfectly into the wine’s soft and enveloping textures, making for a fresh yet fully satisfying display. Sweet peach, hints of honey and inner florals linger throughout the remarkably pretty finish.
3 Bottles of Alma Negra Brut Nature Sparkling Rose NV

It is dry, crisp, and shows excellent acidity. It shows notes of cranberry, strawberry, dried herbs, and lime.
3 Bottles of 2017 Farm to Table Cabernet Sauvignon

3 Bottles of 2018 Olivares Altos de La Hoya Monastrell
This old vine Monastrell from Jumilla, Spain is produced from ungrafted old vine fruit. It is intense with a fruity nose of fresh blackberries, plums and baked fruit plus earthy, herbal tones. The concentrated palate is packed with dark plum and ripe berry fruit, underpinned by fresh acidity and gently framed by spicy notes from six months in French oak.
