Announcing our March wine box collaborator, Dr. Brad Litkenhous, owner of Auburn Dental Spa in Auburn, Alabama! He has been operating in Auburn since 2007, renaming his practice to Auburn Dental Spa in 2011, to reflect the additional day spa amenities offered during your dental procedure, like a warm neck roll, paraffin wax treatments, Botox, filler, and much more! They opened an amazing spa attached to the dental facility, éLevé, in 2016 and it is @justthewino‘s favorite place! They are a full-service spa with excellent massage therapists, estheticians, spray tanning, a hair salon, ear piercing, and much more!

Dr. Brad is not only our favorite dentist, but he is a SUPER dad to three gorgeous girls and has a beautiful wife of 22 years, Susie. He and Susie are also big fans of Acre restaurant in Auburn, just like us! They enjoy a good meal paired with a fine glass of wine. Based on our equal love for wine, Brad was an easy collaboration choice!

2020 Château Graville-Lacoste Blanc The white Bordeaux from Graves is imported by Kermith Lynch. Graves is among the best sources for delicious and versatile white wines. Its clay and limestone soils are ideal for growing Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle: grapes that are used for both sweet Sauternes and dry Graves. All three varietals are featured in this white from Hervé Dubourdieu’s Château Graville-Lacoste. Because Hervé’s vines are five decades old and therefore have access to deep water reserves, and because their location is in one of Graves’s cooler microclimates, this blanc is incredibly consistent, year in and year out. It is crisp and refreshing, with notes of citrus, cut grass, and subtle tropical fruits. It is perfect for Spring time!!

2018 Zenato Valpolicella Classico Superiore Founded in 1960 by Sergio and Carla Zenato, the Zenato winery was originally based on the production of quality wines from an indigenous varietal, Trebbiano di Lugana. Over time, the winery has been passed to Sergio and Carla’s children, who have maintained and expanded upon this vision. Zenato has also explored another important area of Italian wine production, Valpolicella. This particular wine is comprised of 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella, 10% Oseleta. It is ruby red in color, and offers fleshy aromas of wild berries, black currants, black cherries, and spices, with hints of chocolate. On the palate, the wine is dry and robust with velvety texture.

2018 Edge Cabernet Sauvignon This Alexander Valley Cabernet by Ray Signorello is FABULOUS!!!! It is comprised of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petite Sirah. It is deep ruby garnet in color with with notes of strawberry and blueberry jam, licorice and figs on the nose. On the palate it shows notes of nutmeg, cedar, blackberry, chocolate and vanilla bean. With structured yet supple tannins, the wine is medium bodied with a long finish lingering in cassis, espresso and mocha.

2019 Chappellet Mountain Cuvee Chappellet was founded in 1967 by Donn and Molly Chappellet and is one of the most iconic names of the Napa Valley. This wine is 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 4% Cabernet Franc. On the nose, this wine displays aromas of concentrated fruit and spice, with layers of red currant, cassis, cinnamon, vanilla and clove, as well as hints of earthy forest floor, wild sage and sweet toasty oak. On the palate, plush, impeccably balanced tannins carry the lush red and black fruit flavors to an elegant, lingering finish.
